The Schneider Group has acquired a stake in the German logistics and freight forwarding company apriori transport und logistics GmbH, with sites in Betzigau and Biessenhofen (Allgäu). In the course of an early succession planning of apriori, the two companies decided to join forces and to go into the future together.
The Schneider Group succeeds in entering the largest transport and logistics market in Europe through the connection with apriori and also strengthens the existing Italian business. The previous owners – GĂĽnter Netzer and Daniel Binzer – will continue to hold a managing stake in apriori and will also be available to the Schneider Group in an advisory capacity.
AndrĂ© Strebel, CEO: “I look forward to working with apriori and its employees. The company is the perfect complement to the Schneider Group and a further milestone in the internationalisation strategy of our company. I am sure that the merger of Schneider and apriori represents a win-win situation”.
GĂĽnther Netzer and Daniel Binzer on the merger: “The Schneider Group has convinced us with its focus on customers and employees and its strategy based on sustainable growth. We are convinced that through the participation of the Schneider Group we have found a good home for our employees and a reliable partner for our customers and transporters interested in long-term relationships.
