ENGAGEMENT

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY HAS A LONG TRADITION WITH US

For over 155 years, we have placed great importance on corporate responsibility because we firmly believe that considering economic, environmental, and social aspects ensures long-term business success. The well-being of our employees and business partners is close to our hearts, and we also engage in activities beyond that.

As a Basel-based company, our heart beats for our beautiful city on the banks of the Rhine and everything that makes it so special. The football club Basel is definitely a part of that. Therefore, we are very happy about the club partnership with FC Basel, which has been in place since the 2023/24 season.

The Swiss traditional club was founded in 1893 and has already won the Swiss championship 20 times. The club currently plays in the Super League, the highest Swiss league. The home stadium of FC Basel is St. Jakob-Park, also known as “Joggeli” in Basel, which is the largest football stadium in Switzerland.

We look forward to many exciting and successful football matches with the team of “Rotblau”!

We are also actively involved in sports. As a Swiss company, winter sports and local sports activities play a significant role for us. Since October 2022, we have been supporting the Vogt bobsled team, and our Schneider logo races down the ice channel with the team! With a speed of 156.9 km/h, the Vogt bobsled team holds the second-fastest time ever recorded on a bobsled track.

The team led by Michael Vogt regularly celebrates major successes. They achieved a fantastic 4th place at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and won the bronze medal in the 2-man bobsled event at the home World Championships in St. Moritz in January 2023.

We are looking forward to another season of supporting the Vogt bobsled team.

Wrestling is a popular form of freestyle wrestling in Switzerland, practised on sawdust. Joel Strebel from Aristau has been swinging for over 15 years and achieved his seasonal goal by winning the 2nd Federal Wreath at the 2022 Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Pratteln.

Joel has had a successful start to 2023 and has already celebrated his first victories.

We are looking forward to supporting Joel Strebel in his sporting goals in the future.

We support the Zariya Foundation, a Swiss nonprofit organization established in 2010 on the occasion of Mother Teresa’s 100th birthday. The foundation’s objective is to alleviate the suffering of the poor, sick, and dying, as well as improve the health and education standards of children and youth worldwide.

Through their first project, “Mother Teresa & Me,” a non-profit film that expresses Mother Teresa’s message in a modern context, all proceeds from the film are used to support the most impoverished children, specifically for the promotion of education and health.
